Born and raised in South Africa. Activist, educator and former labor organizer passionate about workers struggles, social movements, and adult education. My years in the labor movement shaped my belief that the working class must develop its own organic intellectuals, activists, educators and trade union leaders who learn, organize and build knowledge through struggle. I am particularly interested in how learning happens within labor and social movements and how education can strengthen collective action. Currently pursuing PhD in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education at Penn State University.
