Abstract

Since the interview was carried out, Dr. Fisher published his book on the history of education in the T&G with the title of Bread on the Waters. In this wide ranging interview which centres around five basic questions but which drew forth lengthy responses, he deals with the history of trade union education in Britain with special reference to the T&G, the prospects for trade union education in an age of globalization, the relationship between trade union education and higher education institutes in Britain and a host of other issues.
